Mr. Jameel belongs to Darbhanga, Bihar. He is literate and learned driving.

He has been a driver at MES for 18-19 years. He got influenced by some saint and left his job and became a religious person. Then he came to Delhi to stay with his son Mubarak. He started stitching and tailoring, and after that he started repairing and making machines. Being a brave army person he once even risked his own life by saving persons from a burning factory. He is an expert mechanic (specially for repairing). Now he sells fruits in a cart near Indira Gandhi Camp.

Many years ago, a screw driver got in the backside of his left hand, but he ignored the wound and within a day he felt no sensation in the arm. He got Hemiplegia of Left Hand. Then he undergone two operations but it did not help, his whole arm and hand got useless although he has regain very little sense in his arm and hand and can move them with great difficulty. But he never used any assistive devices for that.

He is a married person and has three sons and two daughters. All of them and two daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and one grandson also stays with him. It seems that he is leading a happy family life. Being a religious and a happy man, he aspires for nothing more in his life.

He has received monetary help twice from FOD, Janakpuri.
