Accessible Transportation

In Pune, India, bus stop shelters along an entire six-kilometer route were upgraded to be more disabled friendly. A spectrum of features for passengers with mobility, hearing, and vision disabilities has been installed. In addition, bus drivers received disability awareness training and new buses incorporate wider entrances, improved handrails, priority seating, color contrast on handrails, and visual stop signs for passengers who are deaf or hard of hearing.
